The City Recorder for Lobelville, Tennessee, serves the town with the collection and management of Lobelville’s funds. The City Recorder has three major functions:
- Collecting property taxes on property within the City Limits of Lobelville.
- Accounting for and disbursing city funds (including proper apportionment and determination of fund availability)
- Investing temporarily idle city funds.

Frequent Questions
Tennessee law does not require mailing tax notices indicating the amount of taxes due. Property owners are presumed to know that taxes are due without personal notice. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the payment responsibility, nor is this a reason for interest charges to be dismissed if the tax bill becomes delinquent.
